Coaching & Mentoring
Recovery Coaching & Mentorship
Recovery coaching, also called recovery mentorship, is goal-focused peer support for people in recovery, a practical, encouraging presence that helps bridge the gap between clinical care and everyday life. A recovery coach, or mentor, walks alongside you as you build routines, navigate challenges, and stay connected to your goals.
At Bodhi Clinical, coaching and mentorship complement clinical care; they don't replace it. Recovery coaches are not licensed clinicians, and recovery coaching is not a licensed mental health service or a substitute for therapy or medical care.
Who it's for
- People in recovery who want consistent, practical support between or alongside clinical care
- Those re-entering daily life and building new routines
- Anyone who benefits from accountability and lived-experience encouragement
How it works
Recovery coaching is forward-looking and practical. Your coach, or mentor, helps you set goals, problem-solve real-life obstacles, and stay connected to recovery, drawing on lived experience and training, not clinical treatment. When clinical needs come up, we connect you with our licensed care: addiction treatment, therapy, and psychiatry, coordinated under one team.
What to expect
We begin with a free 15-minute consultation to understand your goals and pair you with a coach. As part of our coaching and mentoring offering, sessions are collaborative and centered on what you want to build, and your coach keeps in step with your clinical team where appropriate.

Questions
Frequently asked
Is recovery coaching the same as therapy?
No. Recovery coaching, also called recovery mentorship, is non-clinical peer support focused on goals and daily life. It is not therapy or a licensed mental health service. Many people use both, alongside each other.
What does a recovery coach do?
A recovery coach, or mentor, brings training and lived experience in recovery. They help with goals, routines, and accountability. They are not licensed clinicians, and they do not provide clinical treatment.
Can recovery coaching replace therapy or medical care?
No, it complements them. For clinical needs, we offer therapy, psychiatry, and addiction treatment, coordinated under one team.
Is recovery coaching available online?
Yes, in person in the South Bay and virtually across California.
